Weddings

Many years ago, a couple of friends asked me if I’d marry them. They were a couple with a traditional Southern family who wanted something that would sound properly spiritual and religious, but without actually mentioning words that would tie it to solely one religion. Also, they wanted me to wear my Technicolor Dreamcoat, which I totally appreciated.

Since then, I’ve used the same ceremony as a basis for multiple weddings for friends, family, and wonderful folks who have reached out to me. It’s compatible with just about any crowd, and has many bits and pieces that can be added or modified to customize your ceremony. I’ve married people wearing my tux, my kilt, a disco jumpsuit, and shiny silver pants (and I also still have my Technicolor Dreamcoat), so let your imagination run wild!

Optional ceremony additions available:

  • Chalice ceremony
  • Celtic Quaich or Jewish Kiddush Cup Ceremony
  • Unity Candle
  • Readings (religious and secular)
  • Songs (I can perform or my partner can)
  • Time Capsule
  • Plant a plant together with soil from both of your hometowns
  • Handfasting
  • Communal ring blessing
  • Knot-tying ceremony

Don’t see something here, or have a really specific idea for your special day? Let me know and we can make it happen!
